“To do trumps the intention to do”

Once upon a time, a rich man gave one of his sons a command. He said yes, he definitely would comply, but never did. Then he commanded his other son who said no, he would certainly not comply, but then, he did. The first son was positive but was counted as unworthy. The second was negative, but he received the recognition, reward and respect of father and family.

It is not enough to speak positively or to promise performance when it is expedient to do so. Yes, words are powerful, except when they are inconsistent with our actions or behavior.

You say you want transformation, dreams fulfilled and a life of excellence; what are you doing to validate and activate those words? You may recite affirmations daily and hourly about achieving your dreams and desires, but that recital is useless if you make no behavioral change.

QUESTION:

But doesn’t the book called The Secret indicate there is a Law of Attraction which can bring you success based on the words you think and speak? And rather than a physical or operational concept, isn’t The Law of Attraction a spiritual principle that goes beyond our doing?
