The chair that sits before me is made of painted steel with a solid, unbending back. Both back and seat are covered with soft, cushion and fabric, designed for comfort. With strong backbone and soft to the touch, it sits unflustered, waiting patiently for the next person who needs support and repose. It does exactly what it was designed to do, without complaint, attitude or ego.

Here is what it feels like to live an on-purpose and deeply fulfilling life: You are either in hot pursuit of your life purpose or you have happily intersected with it. Deep inside, your mettle is solid like steel and undaunted by the pressure of living your purpose. Occasionally you get a glimpse of the strong resolve and raging power deep inside your belly, but despite that awareness, on the outside, you are kind, approachable and friendly—soft to the touch and ready to serve mankind with your talents.

1) Are you doing exactly what you were designed to do? 2) If you do not know the reason you were born, are you avidly in pursuit of it? If you cannot answer YES to either of these two questions, this may well explain much of the doubt, dissatisfaction and other dysfunctional emotions you experience. Truly, there is nothing to compare to the thrill of a life on purpose. Go for it.

QUESTION:

1. Is your life clearly on purpose, and if not, what has prevented it?
2. Is there such a case where one has more than one life purpose and if so, how can one handle that without becoming mediocre in all areas?

(P.S.: For the process to identify and pursue your life purpose, consult the book, If Caterpillars Can Fly ~ So Can I, Chapter 7.)
