Boca Raton's young and ambitious achievers turned out in great numbers yesterday to attend Alvin Day's Born to Fly workshop hosted by the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. Addressing the Chamber's Young Professionals group, Day focused on the importance of entrepreneurship as well as intrapreneurship in an ever-evolving business world. "With the increasing popularity of performance related compensation," he told a captivated audience, "your level of financial success is more and more dependent upon you." The statement resonated in a roomful of sales reps, department heads and small business owners.
Kate Volman, the Business Development Manager at the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, organized the event after meeting with Day and discussing the principles of his book, If Caterpillars Can Fly, So Can I. The event's main purpose was to communicate the underrated universal laws of nature that give people the passion, process and power to attain excellence and soar to new heights.
