Are You Strong Minded?

Are You Strong Minded?

Dear Colleague:

It was just after 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning. I got up because I couldn’t sleep anymore. Low in spirit, frustrated and overwhelmed with a personal issue I was going through, I contemplated the sad day I was going to have. I’d seen this before. Whenever I awake in this low energy state, my day has been virtually wasted. It happened the day before, due to this same personal issue…all day, listless, lacking focus, distracted by the challenges of life.

Great day I’m going to have. My customers and clients should see me now…talking about how to win…how to overcome emotional trouble…how to move mountains and push ahead, even when the road is tough. Now, look at me. I don’t even WANT to feel better right now.

Then I thought I should go and exercise. Crazy thought it was; I didn’t have the energy or the interest. But a question came to mind that I’d once read in a personal development book, so I asked myself: “Am I strong minded?” As I sat in the bathroom, considering the start of another frustrating day, I asked again, “Am I strong minded?” I asked that question about six times but never needed to answer, as only one response made sense. How could I live with myself if I allowed room for a negative answer to that question?

Ten minutes later, I was in my shorts, athletic shoes and on my way across the street. As my body slowly awoke, I moved with gradual acceleration…one mile, two miles, three-and-a-half miles I went. It was exhilarating. Creative juices flowed freely. Business ideas and solutions came to mind. Back home, after a few moments of meditation, I was at my desk with my heart pumping and my brain brimming with energy. For five hours straight, I focused, made business decisions and accomplished what seemed like two days worth of work.

It was after 1:00 p.m. when I realized that I had not stopped for breakfast, lunch or even a bathroom break…I had not even gone to the shower yet. So I went downstairs, ransacked the refrigerator, grabbed a quick shower, got dressed for my presentation in the evening and returned to my desk with unbroken energy. At 6:00 p.m. I departed for Ft. Lauderdale where I made a high energy presentation to the Kiwanis Club. Then, I returned home, spent some time with Grace, watched a movie, and I was still so energized that I didn’t fall asleep until 1:00 a.m.

Two key factors impact my thinking now. First is the importance of exercise. It is a mere physical activity but it lifts every part of your being—body, mind and spirit. When you try to save time by not exercising, you’re actually losing productivity. After “wasting” that time in exercise, I still accomplished far more work than I do in an average day. And yet, without the second factor, my day would have turned out quite differently.

The second factor is the importance of the personal development programs that I do. The exercise would never have happened had I not recalled the question I learned to ask myself from a personal empowerment program I took: “Am I strong minded?” It seems simple, doesn’t it? It is supposed to be simple. When you dedicate yourself to continuous personal improvement, you learn simple truths not taught in schools…you get tools and mechanisms that help you deal with the challenges of life. Without those tools, it matters not how many certificates of academic or professional qualifications decorate your wall; you will repeatedly fall prey to discouragement, negativity and other weak-minded attitudes that impede your progress in life.

This is the reason that our company, Sales Empowerment Institute is conducting a public workshop to teach people how to play The Game of Life and win; essentials not taught in schools. Learn the simple secrets that help you to:

 -- Awake every day with passion and hunger to pursue your dreams;

 -- Discover the purpose for which you were born and live up to it;

 -- Attract wealth with wisdom and contentment; and

 -- Convert your hidden potential to actual performance that

     brings rewards.

This is the reason I invite you to drop everything, buy a plane ticket and get a hotel room in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, for the half-day workshop on Saturday, May 12. And if you are within driving distance, bring a carload of people with you. For further information, call our office at 561-432-5610 or visit our website at www.AlvinDay.com to register.

You will leave with tools you can use in the future to summon up courage, personal power and the indefatigable drive to achieve excellence, even when the world seems like it’s falling apart.

Are you strong minded? Then push aside present circumstances and make the commitment today…now. The details will work themselves out if you desire to be there. Come and spend a few hours with me; it will be a lot of fun. If you absolutely cannot make it, then I recommend that you go immediately to the website, http://alvinday.com/products.html and get yourself a copy of the 6 CD program, Born to Fly. It will help you discover tools, techniques and talents to increase rewards, recognition and fulfillment in your life.

Take it from me, this attitude will give you altitude.
